When a DJ is still the right call: a big wedding dance floor, a club night, or any event where someone needs to read the crowd, take requests and MC. Beatseam is for everything else.
As long as your songs allow. Choose 1 or 2 minutes per song for a fast-moving set, or full songs for a long evening. Free exports are up to 10 minutes; paid exports have no length limit.
Your phone or laptop and a speaker. Download the mix before the event and play it like any audio file. No internet is needed at the venue.
No. Streaming apps protect their songs so other apps can't open them. Use music files you have, such as downloads you bought, your own recordings, or royalty-free music.
Transitions are beat-matched and timed on the music's phrases, so the mix flows without gaps. To line up beats, songs may play a few percent faster or slower. It won't react to the room or take requests the way a live DJ can.
Playing music in public or in a business may need a music licence, whoever made the mix. In Ireland that's usually IMRO and PPI. Please check with your local licensing body. Beatseam doesn't grant any music rights.
No. Your songs are analysed and mixed on your own device and never uploaded to us.
